Esmeralda Momferratou

Esmeralda Momferratou (b. 1991, Athens, Greece) is a filmmaker and artist based in Athens, Greece. She graduated with first-class honours in Performance Design and Practice, BA, from Central Saint Martins in London (2014) and completed her Erasmus at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts in New York.
Her work is predominantly oriented around video and documentary, while it includes a range of other media such as installation, painting, and performance. The constant dialogue between the visual arts and filmmaking informs and shapes her practice, as this internal dialogue is externalized in the form of a new visual language.
Selected exhibitions/festivals include Video Art Miden Festival, Greece; Mykonos Biennale, Greece; Thessaloniki International Film Festival, Greece; Drama Film Festival, Greece; Secret Cinema, London; as well as Dance Umbrella Festival, London.
