Damianos Zisimou

Damianos Zisimou (1994) is a Cypriot artist based between Nicosia and Rotterdam. His practice investigates the medium of painting, focusing on how its processes and materiality generate meaning beyond representation.

Damianos studied Fine Arts at the Rome Academy of Fine Arts and holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Sociology from Erasmus University Rotterdam. His work has been exhibited in Cyprus, Italy, Greece and the Netherlands, in spaces such as Fondazione Lac o Lemons in Lecce, and Soup! in Rotterdam, and, more recently, at the Benaki Museum as part of the DESTE Foundation and New Museum’s exhibition “In a Bright Green Field”.
